Education at Ntji Mothapo Primary School

Our Vision for Learning:

At Ntji Mothapo Primary School, we believe in providing a solid educational foundation that nurtures each child's academic potential, creativity, and personal growth. Our goal is to empower learners with the knowledge, skills, and values they need to become confident, responsible, and lifelong learners.

Curriculum:

We follow the South African CAPS (Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement) curriculum, ensuring a well-structured and nationally accredited education framework. Our academic program includes:
- Foundation Phase (Grades R–3)
Focused on early literacy, numeracy, and life skills, this phase builds the groundwork for all future learning.
- Intermediate Phase (Grades 4–6)
Learners engage in more structured subjects including Mathematics, Languages, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Life Skills, and Technology.
- Senior Phase (Grade 7)
Our Grade 7 learners are prepared for the transition to secondary school, with a strong focus on academic performance, leadership development, and personal responsibility.

Language of Instruction:

Our primary language of instruction is Sepedi, with support for learners to strengthen both their home language and additional languages.

Co-Curricular and Enrichment Activities:

Beyond the classroom, we encourage holistic development through various programs, including:
- Reading clubs and spelling bees
- Sports such as soccer, netball, and athletics
- Cultural activities, including music, dance, and drama
- Computer literacy and digital learning initiatives

Inclusive Learning Environment:

We strive to accommodate learners of all abilities. Our teachers are trained to identify learning barriers and implement strategies that support every child’s unique needs.

Our Teachers:

Our dedicated and passionate educators are the heart of Ntji Mothapo. They are committed to continuous professional development and use modern, learner-centered teaching methods to engage and inspire.
